Reflection On Psychoanalytic Content
The Freudian Theory is made up of the ego, super ego and ID. The ego is in your conscience mind, and it is your rational logic. A super ego is in your sub-conscience mind, and it is made up of your morals and determining right from wrong. Lastly the ID is in your unconscious mind, and it is based off of your pleasure principle and lust, love, infatuation, and ect. Chaucer has the characters in the tale "The Miller" make a majority of their decisions based off of their ID. this is clear because lust and love and infatuation are major contributing factors to this story in the way that he portrays his characters such as Absalon being infatuated with Allison which controls many of the decisions and actions he does throughout the story.
